After spending some time at the province, we headed back to manila to meet Gene's relatives and for our trip to boracay, but due to a typhoon our trip to Boracay had been cancelled. We spend most our free time at the manila polo club.
I never been to any exclusive club before as I'm only a country girl. Gene wants me to experience the life he was raised upon.(palenkera meet the posh life)
The manila polo club was built around 1900s , and getting a membership seems hard and complicated. An Exclusive club for the A-lister elite of the country.(googled info)
We went to the Polo club with Gene's aunt, as soon as we arrived security personnel assisted and cheerfully greeted us, while we get off from the car. We went directly to the office as her aunt got us the temporary guest card as them being member.Having the card let us stay and used the manila polo club has to offer even when his aunt is not around.
The manila polo club despite being old was well maintained and cared. Its made of stone and High quality woods. The elegance it offer was grandeur,You'll feel the power and respect.
We both chose to eat at the Cogon village. Its peaceful and quite and each table has its own air cooler!(perfect for a sunny weather in this country). It feels like we are at a resort somewhere!
But we are still in the busy makati city. The green field plus the nice skyline! *claps*claps* It takes effort to maintained a huge field this green in a warm country.
The polo club has a pool, gym, badminton and tennis and also squash and a salon and spa. You can basically spend the whole afternoon here, like what we do on our vacant day.
Our lunch now beside the pool and you can see the cogon village. Manila polo club served good quality food. The fresh lumpia was our favorite. The best lumpia i ever tasted.
We also played badminton fot an hour and went to the Gym, It felt like i was back in canada. People who are at the gym who are members of the club were nice, courteous and greeted us cheerfully.
I enjoyed our stay at the manila polo club. From the staff, amenities and food. Ohh the coffee was good too. I cant say anything negative at this place. as i was very impressed and satisfied.
