Banff Wedding Details part 1

It's been slow for me to finally had the energy to create a blog post about our wedding april of 2019. Due to my current condition it had been a challenge to sit still and focus my ideas to put on this post.

So We decided to held our wedding in banff alberta at the fairmont banff springs hotel. The first time I came to visit in this hotel, I had a vision that this is the place I would Love to start a new chapter of my life plus  Castles are just so magical!

FAIRMONT BANFF SPRINGS
The night before our wedding We did a simple early dinner with our wedding parties that mostly travelled far to joined us on our big day. We held it in the conservatory and served some freshly baked goods, alberta beef roast, some drinks and thank you bags.

The conservatory is already well decorated and have the mountain back drop, being said we decided to keep things simple.
We envisioned our wedding to make things simple neat and humble, being the wedding held in a castle I decided to get myself a gold crown adorned with pearls. As for our ring we were required to fly to Vancouver to get our ring sized in cartier. The moment we saw  cartier the trinity ring at the store we fell in love with it and decided to go for it instead of the the love ring.

Designed by Louis Cartier in 1924, the Trinity ring is a signature design of the Cartier Maison. The three interlaced bands in pink, yellow and white gold symbolize love, fidelity and friendship. The ring has inspired the full Trinity collection, a timeless testament to life's most memorable loves.

As for my bouquet, Gene for sure knows how I adore fresh flowers and so It was decided for me to get freshs flowers despite the price it goes with, especially it was still winter and flowers are hard to get. I love roses and so we told our florist  to add red and dusty pink roses with lots of greens.  You  might be wondering why i wore a sheer socks. I want to keep my toes warm for outdoor shoot, plus its sheer and has blue rhinestone which is in tradition it says to wear something blue and it also matches my sapphire engagement ring,  I got socks from a calgary designer Kate Hewko. As for the shoe it came from Dolce & Gabbana,  I personally chose this for the reason the heels is not so high and its made of leather and wonderful lace pattern top with swarovski crystal.

For our ceromony we know for sure we would love to have a cellist play on our wedding day. We were lucky to find Ensemble Cascade to play for our wedding day!

Mr. Nigel played all the songs for our wedding. Moon river was played as I walked down the isle. This song was close to my heart as me and my late grandmother used to play on a turntable back home.

For the reception, We stick with the plan to keep it simple. Our center table decor comes with fresh vase flowe with red and pink roses , with a gold table number.
Our guest book was not the traditional one, we want something unique that we can display, so we got this wood frame glass where the guest write their name and drop it in.

So the next one im sharing to you guys is our wedding cake which was made by Darcy who run her store in kake by darcy canmore.  She was amazing and delivered the cake on time.

We wanted a semi naked cake with some fresh flowers. We decided to go for two layers as we had an intimate wedding and we also had some french macaron, profiterole and fudge as dessert.
The cake has two flavours, bottom one is chocolate matcha, and the top was coffee being both of us love coffee! Darcy created the best cake I had tasted here in alberta. Cant wait to get another cake from her!

This wont be possible without the help of our wedding coordinator, she helped us to execute all of our vision and made it happened! I fell in love with the back drop when I saw it! Thanks for all the help!

Heres a small peak of our reception. The backdrop was made by tita len who run K & C Wedding and Event Services

I will end this post and I shall see you on my part 2 post. :-)
