foodlog: Vic's Hong Kong Style BBQ & Cafe

On a chilly windy Sunday eve of Sept 28,2014 , a supposed to be bubble tea and fried squid  night ended up on a quite newly renovated not so big restaurant in chinatown called Vic's hongkong style bbq and cafe!

we had seen this restaurant quite often, but its our first time eating out here.
welcome welcome

We were seated near the window, we didn't expect the place will be very busy as it is sundae.
As you can see outside, there's not much people walking around. We got a seat right away, the place was not so big, but its ok. place was clean, and smells good *bbq*.

We ordered right away ,as we are bit hungry from doing some exercise!
Our food didn't take long to be served!
spicy szechuan beef (i believe)
Hoho beef was soft , which is good. Not so spicy ,which is also good, so you can enjoy the meal.
It has more vegies, than beef but its good for its price! Good for two people.

This is a congee, rice porridge, arroz caldo or Lugaw.  As its quite chilly outside and i was wearing a miniskirt dress on a 1°C, my body was craving for some homely warm food. They have lots of congee to choose ,and i was overwhelmed .I decided to try the house special congee,if i remember the name correctly, It has shrimp, green onions, thinly sliced ginger, fish, and scallops too. I like how this one tasted, you'll taste the ingredients in it which is good. You can season it the way you wanted. This is around $8. Huge bowl! Good to share

And the last one, the main reason why we went here!

The hongkong style roasted pork belly. Looks like lechon kawali :) The meat was tender and juicy and well seasoned! It was cruncy too and not hard to chew! This shall be my fave now! Better than the lechon kawali sold around the area i tasted.Plus it isnt expensive!

And Gene's drink. I dunno what is this :-p was busy eating haha

************************************

Overall experienced you'll get what you pay for the price.
Nothing fancy, but the services was good despite how full packed the restaurant with customer, they served the food fast and the staff attended to ur needs fast,  and the food tasted good.
Not salty nor too spicy.
The roasted pork is good pair it with plain rice.:-)
feels like home lol

The satisfied face!
Now im sleepy coz i ate alot!

till next restaurant hunting!
