foodlog: TOA Vietnamese Cuisine

TOA Vietnamese Cuisine is one of my favorite viet resto in downtown Calgary. Upon checking urbanspoon i saw that they did'nt had high score review. Perhaps because it's get very busy there during lunch time ,and is tough to get a table. I normally went there for dinner.

Me and Gene was supposed to eat some Korean food , but then we suddenly changed our mind and went for viet.
Not busy yet as it's only 6pm. Theres only 7 people dining that time. The place is huge and has lots of table , and it get full during lunch time most of the time.
Our food was served about minutes.
For appetizer
Fried chicken wings for $8.00
We were expecting some crispy chicken wings, so we were surprised when we saw it. It does look like bbq chicken wings. We did both like how it taste and did'nt taste like old oil used.
This time i ordered the 2 pcs. charbroiled pork chop on steamed rice it used to be $10.50 before but now its around $11. I very much like how they cooked it , its well marinated, well presented with fresh crunchy vegies, and the meat was really soft.
Gene's ordered the satay beef on steamed rice for $11 i think.(not sure of the price)
The food was great, lots of rice, fresh crunchy veggies  and the satay beef was marinated and soft to eat too, which is good!. Though the serving of the meat is not much , but again its beef :-)

Never had bad experienced with this restaurant , still gonna be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in downtown calgary. Not so expensive , well cooked food  with good presentation and nice ambiance except during lunch time when it get packed.
